With its dramatic fan-shaped crest, long curved beak and bold black-and-white striped wings, the hoopoe is one of the most striking birds in the world. Here it perches among lush, layered tropical leaves, its distinctive plumage standing out against the rich greenery around it.
Every shape in this print was carved by hand, from the crest feathers to the sweeping leaves, and printed with care to bring out the texture and pattern that make linocut so distinctive. It's a bold, decorative piece for anyone who loves birds, nature and a touch of the exotic.
